Growing up in Southern California makes you forever bound to the sea. As a photographer I am constantly struck by the sea's moods, and visual drama it can dishes out. Early on in my photography career I lost my first camera standing on the beach as I was hit by a rouge wave. These days with my Canon 5D Mark IV, I stand a little farther back on the beach, but that doesn't mean the ocean is any further away in my heart.
